Failure analysis of extrusion equipment

Plastic extruder is a common plastic mechanical equipment. In the process of daily operation of extruder, it is inevitable that all kinds of faults will occur, which will affect the normal production of extruder. Below, we will make a detailed analysis of the fault of extruder.


Main motor cannot not start

Cause:

(1) Wrong driving procedure.

(2) has a problem with the main motor thread, whether the fuse is burned out.

(3) linkage device associated with the main motor works.


Treatment method:

(1) inspection procedure to restart driving in the correct driving order.

(2) Check the main motor circuit.

(3) Check for lubricating oil pump startup and the status of interlocking devices associated with the main motor. The oil pump is not open, and the motor cannot be open.

(4) checks the emergency button for reset.

(5)The induction power of frequency converter is not discharged, and turn off the total power supply for 5 minutes before starting.


The host current is unstable

Cause:

(1) feeding is not uniform.

(2) main motor bearings are damaged or poorly lubricated.

(3)A heater of fails and is not heated.

(4) screw adjustment pad wrong, or phase, component interference.


Treatment method:

(1) Check the feeder to troubleshoot it.

(2) shall overhaul the main motor and replace the bearings if necessary.

(3) Check that the heaters are working correctly and replace them if necessary.

(4) Check the adjustment pad, pull out the screw to check the screw for interference.


Main power start-current is too high

Cause:

(1) insufficient heating time and large torque.

(2)A segment of heater does not working.


Treatment method:

Apply a hand drive when driving, if not easy, extend the heating time or check each section of the heater for normal operation.


The nose feed is not smooth or blocked

Cause:

(1)A section of heater is not working and the material is malplastic.

(2) operating temperature is set low, or the plastic molecular weight distribution is wide and unstable.

(3) may have foreign bodies that are not easy to melt.


Treatment method:

(1) Check the heater and replace it if necessary.

(2) verifies the set temperature of each section and negotiwith the technician to raise the temperature setting if necessary.

(3) clean and check the extrusion system and nose.


The main motor makes an abnormal noise

Cause:

(1) main motor bearing is damaged.

A silicon controllable in the silicon controllable rectifier line of (2) main motor is damaged.


Treatment method:

(1) Replace the main motor bearings.

(2) Check the SCR rectifier circuit and replace it if necessary.


Main motor bearing temperature rise is too high

Cause:

(1) Poor lubrication of the bearings.

(2) bearing is badly worn.


Treatment method:

Check and add the lubricant. Check the motor bearings and replace the bearings if necessary.


The head pressure is unstable

Cause:

(1) main motor speed.

(2) feed motor rotation speed is uneven, and the feed volume fluctuates.


Treatment method:

(1) Check the main motor control system and the bearings.

(2) Check the feeding system motor and control system.


Lube oil pressure is low

Cause:

(1)The pressure setting of lubricating oil system is too low.

(2) oil pump failure or the oil suction pipe is blocked.


Treatment method:

(1) Check and adjust the pressure regulating valve of the lubricating oil system.

(2) Check the oil pump and oil suction pipe.


The automatic network changer is slow or ineffective

Cause:

(1) pressure or oil.

(2)Air leakage (or oil leakage) of cylinder (or hydraulic station)


Treatment method:

(1) checks the power system of the replacement unit.

(2) Check the sealing of the cylinder or hydraulic cylinder.


The safety pin or the safety key is cut off

Cause:

(1) extrusion system is of too much torque

(2) main motor is connected with different cores with input bearing


Treatment method:

(1) checks the extrusion system for substances such as metal entering the stuck screws. At the beginning, check whether the heating time or heating value meet the requirements.

(2) Adjust the main motor.
